What is Obliqueville?

This newsletter is meant to test out the idea that the world can best be understood obliquely, through odd margins and off-kilter lenses. 

The first few months are likely to be a bit of a test-bed while I’m figuring out a combination of format, tempo and content that works. I’m envisaging a mixture of one-off posts and short thematic series, aiming to post once a week initially. At some point I will in a paid subscription option, but it will be a little while before I start experimenting with subscribers-only posts. 

While I’m keeping the scope intentionally broad, it’s likely that I’ll touch on topics like science and research, AI, design and manufacturing.
